Work scope includes:
- Advanced Technology Research: Conduct fundamental research and pre-development of on emerging technologies related to vehicle dynamics, including X-by-wire systems (Steer-by-Wire, Brake-by-Wire), active suspension, and rear-wheel steering.
- System Design & Modeling: Develop high-fidelity physical models and simulation environments for chassis components.
- Component innovation & Validation: Contribute to research projects with innovative ideas for key components performance improvement and optimized design.
- International Cooperation: Work closely with corporate research hub in Renningen, Germany on project activities and competence development.
Main responsibility includes:
- Drive the research and pre-development of intelligent chassis components, focusing on innovation in system integration, component design and optimization.
- Utilize tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, CarMaker, or dSPACE to simulate component behavior and optimize system performance under various driving conditions.
- Contribute to multi-physics field simulation (mechanical, thermal, CFD, etc.) of chassis key components via commercial software, such as ANSYS, Comsol.
- Define test cases for component durability and functional performance. Analyze test data to correlate results with simulation models and optimize component designs.
- Pursue technology excellence by contributing brilliant ideas to new product concepts including patent filing.
- Support project activities to transfer deliverables to business units successfully.
Qualifications
- PhD degree or Master degree with ≥ 3 years working experiences in discipline of Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Work experiences in an industrial R&D center or academic research focused on vehicle chassis systems and components.
- Deep understanding of vehicle dynamics and strong experience with modeling and simulation tools.
- At least one domain expertise on chassis subsystem and key components, such as suspension, steering, braking.
- Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (oral and written) is necessary.
- International education and experience are a plus.
- Efficient, goal-oriented, structured working style, experienced in project work.
- Strong documentation and writing skills.
- Passionate for innovation, open to work in an international environment.
