Data Analysis & Insights
- Collect, clean, and analyze financial and operational data from multiple internal sources (ERP systems, reporting tools, spreadsheets)
- Translate business questions into analytical models and actionable insights
- Deliver ad‑hoc analyses, business cases, and recommendations to stakeholders
Advanced Analytics & Automation
- Build and maintain predictive and analytical models (forecasting, anomaly detection, scenario analysis) to support budgeting, forecasting, and investment decisions
- Integrate AI and machine‑learning capabilities into controlling and reporting processes
- Continuously experiment, test hypotheses, and refine analytical approaches
Reporting & Visualization
- Design and maintain automated dashboards and visualizations using BI and low‑code tools
- Improve transparency and reliability of financial and operational reporting
Data Engineering & Pipelines
- Design and maintain automated data pipelines in Python, including data transformation, ETL processes, and data quality checks
- Reduce manual effort through automation and standardized data flows
Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing
- Work closely with finance, IT, and data engineering teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
- Document solutions clearly and support self‑service analytics through training and knowledge transfer
Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Python for data analysis, modeling, and automation (e.g. pandas, numpy, scikit‑learn)
- Experience with BI and low‑code analytics tools (e.g. Power BI, Power Apps, VS Code or similar)
- Strong foundation in statistics and applied AI/ML for business use cases
- Ability to work end‑to‑end on complex datasets, from exploration to model design and interpretation
Business & Communication Skills
- Solid understanding of finance and controlling processes, KPIs, and reporting requirements
- Strong ability to translate business needs into analytical solutions
- Clear communication with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Strong problem‑solving, documentation, and time‑management skills
- Ability to work autonomously in a structured yet evolving environment
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
- 2–5 years of experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in a business controlling or finance context
- Professional working proficiency in English, plus French and/or Dutch
Practical Information
- Location: Brussels area
- Work regime: Full‑time
- Onsite presence: 2 days per week by default
