Data analyst is at the main position of using the data for mining the value by discovering insight that gives meaningful impact for the business. You are the person who define, collect, process, and analyses data across industry and work with teams for driving the company, its products/service forward through data.
What you will be doing :
- Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
- Develop and implement databases, data collection, systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
- Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
Qualifications
- Data-oriented personality.
- Communication Skills: Data analysts are often called to present their findings, or translate the data into an understandable document. You will need to write and speak clearly, easily communicating complex ideas.
- Critical Thinking: Data analysts must look at the numbers, trends, and data and come to new conclusions based on the findings.
- Attention to Detail: Data is precise. Data analysts have to make sure they are vigilant in their analysis to come to correct conclusions.
- Posses at least one of three of these skills below:
- Business: understanding of our industry/business strategy, customer life cycle, customer acquisition strategy, etc
- Analytical: data analysis, mathematic, statistic, discovering bias, clustering, classification, etc.
- Knowledgeable in programming language such as R, Python, Scala, SQL, No SQL
- Experience in Business Intelligence platform such as Metabase, Tableau is a plus
- A bachelor degree in technical majors is preferred (e.g. Computer Science, Information Technology)
