Data Platform Architect (with GCP)
Project – the aim you’ll have
The Automation & Innovation Department builds solutions powered by AI, GenAI, process automation (RPA, BPA, AIM) and data analytics/ML models running in GCP, AWS and Kubernetes.
As Data Platform Architect, you will provide strategic leadership in designing the architecture for modern analytics and data platforms. You will define scalable data solutions, set technology standards and guide engineering teams in building high-quality platforms both on-premise and in the cloud.
Position – how you’ll contribute
- Define architectural standards and blueprints for hybrid cloud and on‑premise data platforms.
- Set and maintain best practices for scalability, reliability and maintainability.
- Evaluate and recommend technologies and methodologies aligned with business and compliance needs.
- Lead the design and integration of Spark‑based analytics, Kubernetes‑orchestrated workloads and GCP services.
- Document and communicate data architecture, integration patterns and workflows for technical audiences.
- Collaborate with engineering and business teams on data analytics platform initiatives.
- Guide teams through migration, modernization and optimization projects.
- Support teams in troubleshooting, performance tuning and strategic planning.
Qualifications
Expectations – the experience you need
- 5+ years experience in data platform architecture or engineering.
- Deep knowledge of GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc Pub/Sub), Spark, Kubernetes, DWH, Big Data.
- Proven leadership in hybrid cloud/on-premise integration projects.
- Strong skills in technical documentation, system design and stakeholder management.
- Experience with cloud-native migrations and hybrid architectures.
- Familiarity with data governance and advanced analytics frameworks.
