We're looking for a hands-on technical specialist who loves building things that work. As a Data Solutions Engineer at Keboola, you'll be the person who turns business requirements into working solutions-building POCs, implementing data pipelines, and demonstrating what's possible on our platform.
You'll work alongside our Solution Engineering team together with Financial Analytics Consultants and Account Executives, translating what customers need into solutions they can see and touch. What You'll Do
Build and DeliverDevelop proof-of-concept solutions that demonstrate platform capabilities against specific customer requirementsBuild and configure data pipelines, transformations, and integrations within KeboolaCreate technical documentation and handoff materials that set customers up for successEngage and Explain
Present your implemented solutions to customer technical teams, walking them through architecture and design decisionsJoin discovery calls when deep technical discussion is needed—data sources, APIs, integration patternsTranslate complex technical concepts for mixed audiences without drowning them in jargonCollaborate and Improve
Partner with Product and Engineering to communicate customer needs and platform gapsContribute reusable components and templates that make the whole team fasterContinuously improve our technical delivery processes
What We're Looking For
Experience: 4+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering, or technical data analyst rolesBackground: You've worked on data teams, at consultancies doing data implementations, or in analytics-focused roles where you built things—not just consumed reportsMindset: You're a builder. You get satisfaction from making things work. Ambiguity doesn't paralyze you—it motivates you.Must-Haves (Non-Negotiable)
Data Acumen You have a solid understanding of data modeling and ETL/ELT patterns. You can write complex SQL, design a dimensional model, and spot data quality issues before they become problems. This isn't theoretical—you've done it.Technical Communication You can explain what you've built to anyone—from developers to business stakeholders. You demo confidently, answer questions clearly, and know when to go deep versus when to keep it simple.Solution Orientation You don't wait for perfect specs. When requirements are ambiguous (and they often are), you figure it out. You take ownership and deliver.English Proficiency Professional working proficiency is essential. You'll lead technical discussions, write documentation, and present demos in English daily. We operate globally—this isn't optional.Strong Pluses
Python scripting ability for automation and data tasksHands-on experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks)Familiarity with REST APIs and data integration patternsUnderstanding of SaaS architecture and deployment modelsNice to Have
