Role Summary
The Desktop Support Associate plays a key role in ensuring the smooth deployment, maintenance, and recovery of IT equipment across the organisation. This role provides hands-on support for hardware, assists with equipment lifecycle activities, and contributes to overall inventory and logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
Fulfil materials and equipment requests efficiently and accurately
Deploy desk setups and monitor configurations
Provide desk-side support and manage quick-fix solutions
Collect IT equipment for terminations, upgrades, or decommissions
Assist with internal desk moves and hardware relocations
Provide troubleshooting and Tier 1 support where appropriate
Maintain and restock IT cabinets and vending machines
Conduct vending machine planogram changes, relocations, and decommissions
Proactively manage inventory within deployment scope
Track all hardware using internal data systems to ensure traceability
Manage e-waste logistics and support donation requests
Receive inbound hardware and conduct physical inventory counts
Support shipments and coordinate outbound logistics as needed
Work closely with regional inventory teams to align operational efforts
Participate in cycle counting and contribute to overall stock accuracy
Complete special projects as assigned by site leadership
Minimum Qualifications & Skills
Associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
1+ years of experience in IT support, help desk, or desktop support
English proficiency is essential for internal stakeholder communication
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
Detail-oriented with strong organisational abilities
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Professionalism and a strong customer service mindset
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
Experience in logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, or similar environments
Familiarity with inventory tracking systems or asset management tools
