This isn’t a “talk about the product” role. This is a build-with-us role.
As Guild.ai’s first Developer Advocate, you’ll be a founding voice of the company. You’ll work directly with the founders to shape not just what we ship, but how we show up for the developer community—and how that community shapes the product in return.
If you’re a builder who loves teaching, a community leader who still writes code, and someone who wants real ownership in defining a platform from day one, this role is for you.
You’ll build the bridge between Guild.ai and the people using it—software engineers, builders, collaborators, and AI-curious creators.
You will:
Grow and nurture an inclusive, high-signal developer community
Create inspiring, practical content that shows what’s possible with Guild.ai (demos, tutorials, workshops, videos, blogs)
Educate developers on how to use Guild.ai to level up their skills and workflows
Act as a core input into product direction, translating community insight into product feedback
Partner closely with engineering, product, and marketing teams to ship better experiences
Collaborating cross-functionally to empower potential and current users.
Represent Guild.ai publicly at conferences, meetups, and online spaces
You’ll be trusted to empathize deeply with users, advocate on their behalf, and help ensure Guild.ai is genuinely useful—not just impressive.
Champion the developer experience, especially where AI intersects with real-world engineering workflows
Plan and produce content based on real user needs, including:
Videos, IRL - workshops, webinars, and demos
Tutorials and example projects
Blog posts, notebooks, and educational resources
Engage directly with developers to help them succeed on Guild.ai
Build programs and initiatives that turn users into advocates
Help define Guild.ai’s presence at conferences, events, and meetups
5-7+ years of experience in developer advocacy, software engineering, technical evangelism, education, community leadership, product, or engineering leadership roles
A strong track record of communicating technical ideas clearly—through talks, writing, videos, workshops, or open-source work
Experience engaging with developer communities online and in person
Comfort being on stage, on camera, and in public forums
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A builder’s mindset—you enjoy shipping, iterating, and learning in public
Hands-on experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and working with code
Inclusive, empathetic communication and a genuine desire to help others grow
We’re a team of founders, SREs, open-source contributors, and engineering leaders who believe AI should expand human creativity—not replace it. We’re building tools that give engineers leverage, clarity, and room to do their best work.
If you’re excited by the idea of shaping a developer community from the ground up—and helping define what software engineering looks like in an AI-native future—we’d love to build Guild.ai with you.
