DevSecOps Engineer

Purpose

Make releases boring and safe by automating builds, deployments, environment management, and SaaS tool integrations/administration across D365-adjacent code, Power Platform solutions, and Azure components.

What the role does

• Sets up and maintains CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub for Power Platform solutions, custom APIs, integrations, and supporting services.
• Implements Power Platform ALM: solution packaging, environment strategies, deployment automation, and connection references.
• Owns technical integration and day-to-day administration for key SaaS tools (e.g., monitoring, ITSM, integration/SaaS middleware), including SSO configuration, API keys/secrets, environments, and connectivity to D365/PP/Azure.
• Automates environment creation, configuration, and refresh (dev/test/UAT) in Azure, enforcing security and configuration baselines.
• Integrates security checks (secrets management, dependency scanning, basic SAST/DAST where appropriate) into build and release pipelines.
• Works with Windows/System admins on infrastructure automation and with QA on running automated test suites as part of the pipeline.
• Acts as the first responder for pipeline and SaaS integration failures, driving incident resolution and root-cause analysis.

Skills & experience

• 5+ years in DevOps/DevSecOps roles on the Microsoft stack.
• Strong Azure DevOps (or GitHub Actions) background: pipelines, repos, artifacts, environments.
• Has previously designed and implemented CI/CD and ALM standards (branching, environments, approvals, rollback) for at least one organization.
• Solid Azure experience (App Services, Functions, Key Vault, Service Principals) and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).
• Experience integrating and administering SaaS tools (ITSM, monitoring, identity-integrated SaaS, or iPaaS platforms) in a Microsoft-centric environment.
• Comfortable being the primary technical owner and first responder when pipelines or SaaS integrations break.
