Senior Golang Backend Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior Golang Backend Engineer to lead the design and development of scalable backend systems. You will play a key role in defining architecture, building robust microservices, and designing high-quality APIs that support business-critical applications.

Location: Mexico (Remote)

Qualifications we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 5+ years of professional backend development experience
• Strong, hands-on expertise in Golang
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture
• Extensive experience in API design and backend system integration
• Solid experience working with MongoDB
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, concurrency, and scalability
• Experience with Git-based workflows and collaborative development
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Responsibilities 

• Lead the design and development of backend services using Golang
• Architect and maintain microservices-based systems at scale
• Design, implement, and evolve RESTful APIs
• Model, store, and manage data using MongoDB
• Drive technical decisions, architecture standards, and best practices
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and guidance
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of backend systems
• Collaborate closely with product, DevOps, and frontend teams
