Join us as we embark on a once-in-a-lifetime, largescale transformation journey by creating a National Lottery that delivers more money to good causes.
We’ll talk a bit more about us further down the page, but for now – let’s talk about the role and who we’re looking for…
A bit about the role…
This role is responsible for delivering high-impact, innovative, integrated creative projects across digital media, translating complex briefs into simple, high-impact digital assets. You will translate the requirements of a brief into innovative digital assets, ensuring all work is aligned with brand guidelines and optimised for performance across web, mobile and in-store digital platforms. As a conceptual thinker, you will bring a blend of artistic flair and technical precision to the team, developing imaginative solutions that push the boundaries of digital advertising.
What you’ll be doing…
- Conceptualisation & Execution: Lead the design and production of digital advertising assets, primarily focusing on high-performing web banners, social media assets, and direct response creative.
- Creative Thinking: Contribute to team brainstorms as a conceptual thinker, finding innovative ways to answer briefs with a genuine enthusiasm for the creative and advertising industry.
- HTML5 Animation: Create sophisticated, lightweight HTML5 animated banners using tools like Adobe Animate or Google Web Designer, ensuring seamless performance across all devices.
- Retail Media Screens: Develop and deliver engaging digital content specifically for retail media screens. This includes HTML-coded animations and motion graphics tailored for the retail landscape.
- Campaign Delivery: Execute creative concepts from initial brief through to final assets, including asset resizing and versioning for multi-channel campaigns.
- Brand Stewardship: Ensure all digital creative is strictly aligned with visual and verbal identity guidelines while pushing the boundaries of what is possible in digital and retail environments.
- Technical Optimisation: Optimise file sizes and code to ensure fast loading times and compliance with technical specifications for various ad networks and retail media hardware.
- Collaboration: Actively share creative ideas, trends, and techniques across the wider design team to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
What experience we’re looking for…
- General Experience: Demonstrable experience in a design role within a studio or agency environment, with a portfolio showcasing a mix of graphic design, motion graphics and digital display.
- Digital Specialism: Knowledge of HTML5 animation and an understanding of the technical limitations and possibilities of web programming.
- Retail & DOOH: Experience or a strong understanding of designing for digital-out-of-home (DOOH) or retail media screens, understanding how to capture attention in a physical environment.
- Software Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and specialised animation tools (Adobe Animate).
- Technical Knowledge: While not essential, experience with GreenSock (GSAP) and JavaScript is highly desirable to help push the boundaries of interactivity and animation.
- Direct Response Knowledge: A strong grasp of digital "best practice" using colour theory, layout, and visual hierarchy to maximise engagement and create thumb stopping content.
- Production Knowledge: Working knowledge of web accessibility, usability guidance, and the process of supplying production-ready assets for complex digital ecosystems.
- Conceptual Innovation: A proven ability to translate complex briefs into simple, high-impact digital stories. You should be as comfortable at the brainstorming stage as you are during technical execution.
- Advertising Passion: A deep understanding of the current digital advertising landscape, including emerging trends in social media, direct response best practices, and interactive design
