Position Overview:
The successful candidate will serve as a key member of our legal department, providing strategic counsel and hands-on management and direction of disputes across our real estate portfolio, including disputes with partners, developers, contractors and property managers. This role requires a skilled dispute resolution lawyer with an understanding of the real estate industry and a proven track record of managing disputes from inception through resolution.
Responsibilities:
The Counsel will be responsible for managing all phases of disputes (including disputes with partners, developer, contractors and property managers) affecting the company and its affiliated entities, including reviewing contracts, facts and circumstances, offering strategic guidance, responding to claims, and coordinating with insurance carriers and outside counsel. The role also involves advising senior management on risk mitigation strategies and implementing approved strategies.
