The Education Center Operator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of each Head Start center.
Functions include the delivery of the Head Start curriculum and effective instructional practices
according to the Head Start Program Performance Standards, Head Start Act, Licensing Minimum
Standards, and policies and procedures that lead to effective school readiness and a high quality
learning environment for children and families. Responsible for developing and maintaining
collaborative relationships, supervising Head Start staff at their center and incorporating an effective
Parent, Family and Community Engagement Program. Maintain and oversee assigned budgets.
Full-Time, 10 months per year;
Monday – Friday, 40 hours, hours vary
$1,753.10 Per Pay Period
Required
Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood development or other related human service field
with 18 hours of Early Childhood Development.
Must have six (6) college credit hours in management.
Current CPR and First Aid
Preferred
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in family, early care and education and/or early
childhood education is desirable.
Previous supervisory experience is desirable.
Fluency in English and Spanish (read, write, and speak) preferred.
