The Talent Acquisition Lead at Empirical owns the end-to-end talent acquisition strategy and execution, while also supporting key People initiatives for the internal team.
This is a senior, hands-on role combining recruiting leadership, client-facing communication, process design, and team enablement. You will work closely with founders, engineering leadership, operations, and clients to deliver consistent, high-quality hiring outcomes and build scalable recruiting processes.
Own and lead end-to-end recruiting across technical roles for multiple client accounts.
Define search strategy, role prioritization, and hiring timelines based on capacity and business needs.
Define the communication strategy and outreach approach for each search and target profile, translating it into tailored messaging and outreach cadences.
Ensure strong sourcing, screening, and evaluation standards across all active searches.
Maintain a high-quality candidate experience throughout the process.
Lead intake and calibration calls with clients and hiring managers.
Act as the main point of contact during active searches, setting clear expectations around timelines, feedback, and next steps, and providing value to the client on pipeline health, risks, and recommendations as needed.
Design, document, and continuously improve end-to-end recruiting processes.
Improve time-to-hire and precision-to-hire through structured workflows and data-driven decisions.
Identify bottlenecks and implement scalable solutions across tools and workflows.
Lead and support a small recruiting team by setting priorities, providing coaching, and ensuring clear ownership.
Mentor team members and support their professional growth through feedback and development conversations.
Oversee freelance recruiters performance and external partnerships.
Ensure consistent execution quality, feedback standards, and alignment across all contributors.
Support core People practices such as onboarding, role clarity, performance feedback, and documentation of team processes.
Partner with founders on organizational needs related to growth, structure, and team health.
Lead and contribute to specific People and Talent Acquisition-related projects as needed

7+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, with strong exposure to technical recruiting.
Proven experience owning end-to-end recruiting strategy, metrics, and delivery outcomes.
Experience leading and mentoring a team.
Hands-on experience with ATS systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other sourcing tools and platforms.
Proven experience hiring globally distributed talent
Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Comfortable operating in fast-paced startup environments, with strong task management, prioritization skills, and ownership over decisions.
Exposure to staff augmentation, consulting, or embedded recruiting models.
Experience hiring at scale or supporting high-volume hiring across multiple clients.
