Sales Engineer /Energy Solutions Architect– Energy SaaS
We are looking for a Sales Engineer to help enterprise customers successfully adopt our SaaS platform. This role combines business analysis, solution design, and customer engagement to ensure clients realise maximum value from our software.
You will work closely with commercial, product, and technical teams, acting as a trusted advisor to customers throughout the sales process and onboarding. This is a strategic role with high visibility and strong growth potential
What you’ll do:
- Partner with customers to understand their business processes, systems, and needs
- Design tailored solutions and integration approaches aligned with client environments
- Project manage technical software implementations for a variety of enterprise clients within the energy and energy trading sector
- Support the sales process through discovery, workshops, and tailored demos
- Lead onboarding and implementation projects, ensuring a smooth customer experience
- Analyse client systems and data (ETRMs, ERPs, CRMs, Excel, etc.) to inform solution design
- Communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Identify upsell opportunities and contribute to product improvement initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product, and technical teams
What we’re looking for:
- 3-6 years of experience as a Sales Engineer, energy consultant, technical business analyst, or similar client-facing role
- Experience working with ETRMs, CRM and energy trading solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Ability to understand complex business processes and design practical solutions
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience in the energy trading sector, commodity trading, fintech, or similar industries
- Proficiency in Excel; scripting experience (Python, VBA, or R) is a plus
- STEM background preferred (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics Degree)
- Fluent in English. Additional languages are a plus.
