Key Activities

  • This position involves providing comprehensive engineering support for Wet Seal System applications, focusing on engineering standardization, process simulation, and technical support for various fluid control products.
  • Responsibilities include developing and maintaining Sselect software modules, supporting new product development projects through FEA, and delivering technical presentations.
  • The role requires collaboration with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Product Lifecycle Development (PLD) teams, conducting lab-based testing for product validation, and performing data analysis.
  • Additionally, it includes application support, particularly for different API plans, conducting thermal analysis, and serving as the global point of contact for API Piping Plan queries. Utilize Teamcenter and Solid Edge for design, drawing preparation, and release.
  • Prepare material take-offs (MTOs) and manage release through SAP Address vendor queries and ensure technical alignment of materials with project specifications

Key Accountabilities

  • The position demands accountability for providing technical support for fluid control products such as heat exchangers, bladder accumulators, and various instruments, ensuring accurate process simulation using Hysys.
  • The role requires the preparation of technical documents, including test reports and technical bulletins, and delivering training on using SSelect and API Piping Plans. Maintaining effective communication and collaboration with various stakeholders, meeting realistic timelines, and providing excellent customer service is crucial.
  • The role also involves ensuring compliance with global standards, safety, and local regulations, with a strong focus on the selection and sizing of instrumentation and understanding electrical and instrumentation requirements for hazardous area classification.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or master’s degree (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline with 3 to 5 years’ experience in technology development, engineering, or similar functions.
  • Excellent communication
  • Able to handle complex issues
  • Experienced in Piping, Mechanical seal and seal systems, ASME code.
  • Aspen HYSYS or any simulation software knowledge is added advantage
