The Engineering Manager will lead and scale high-performing engineering teams while driving the successful delivery of software products. This role blends strong technical depth with people leadership, execution excellence, and cross-functional collaboration to build reliable, scalable systems.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage engineering teams to ensure high performance, engagement, and continuous growth.
• Collaborate closely with product management, design, and other stakeholders to define priorities, requirements, and delivery timelines.
• Oversee end-to-end software development, ensuring adherence to coding standards, architectural best practices, and quality benchmarks.
• Own release management processes to enable smooth, reliable, and timely software deployments.
• Drive adoption of Agile practices, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering best practices to improve development velocity and quality.
• Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the engineering organization.
• Evaluate and introduce new tools, technologies, and frameworks to strengthen the technology stack.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and developing engineering talent to build a strong and scalable team.
• Plan and manage resources, dependencies, and project timelines to ensure successful delivery within schedule constraints.
• Actively track project progress, risks, and outcomes, ensuring transparency and alignment across teams.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10–12+ years of experience in software development, with proven experience in an Engineering Manager role.
• Strong hands-on background in backend systems using Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience working with microservices architecture, Redis cache, and PostgreSQL databases.
• Solid understanding of containerized and distributed systems, including Kubernetes.
• Proven expertise in release management and coordinating successful production deployments.
• Experience working in startup or fast-paced environments, driving projects from concept to launch.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, continuous integration, and continuous delivery practices.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS is an advantage.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
