We are seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect (external consultant) to provide strategic, project‑focused architectural guidance for our S/4HANA environment and associated Individual Projects Portfolio. The architect will work exclusively on programs and projects, aligned with current Enterprise Architecture capacity and priorities.
Responsibilities
Provide architectural guidance, oversight and governance on S/4HANA and Individual Portfolio projectsSupport S/4 Programme governance in close cooperation with the internal Lead Enterprise Architect and the vendor’s Lead Enterprise Architect; ensure aligned architectural direction across all programme dimensionsDesign and validate enterprise and domain architectures (business, data, application, technology) within assigned programmesSupport RFP/RFI processes for vendor, solution evaluation and selection from an architectural perspectiveEnsure architectural consistency, integration and alignment across project workstreamsCollaborate with business and IT stakeholders to define target processes and solution conceptsProduce high‑quality architectural documentation required for programme execution (including but not limited to Architecture Visions, High-Level Design Documents, Architecture Board decision materials)Work closely with project teams and solution architects to ensure compliance with target architectureIdentify project‑level opportunities for process improvement, standardisation and cost optimisationFacilitate cross-project dependency and rick management, mitigation

Requirements
University degree in a relevant fieldMinimum 10 years of relevant experience, incl. 5+ years of proven expertise in an Enterprise Architect roleStrong experience with capability-based designProficiency in architecture frameworks: TOGAF, ITIL, ArchiMate, UMLFluent written and spoken business EnglishStrong strategic mindset paired with excellent communication and problem‑solving skillsExperience with cloud platforms (preferably MS AZURE)
