Environment and Sustainability Project Manager (Saudi Arabia)

We are currently looking for an Environment and Sustainability Project Manager to join our client's team in Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will oversee the planning, execution, and management of projects focused on environmental sustainability, ensuring compliance with regulations and advancing the sustainability goals of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead environmental and sustainability projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, timeline, and quality standards.
• Develop project plans, including objectives, scope, timelines, resources, and budget requirements.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project alignment with environmental regulations and sustainability initiatives.
• Lead author for EIA reports, environmental management plans, environmental audit reports;
• Perform risk assessments and mitigation strategies to address potential environmental impacts.
• Project management of EIA projects including coordination of inputs from subject matter experts, field survey personnel and sub-consultants
• Professional membership or certification with recognised organisations (e.g., IEMA, CIEEM, CIWEM, IES, PMP Certificate) would be advantageous.
• Preparation of proposals and variation orders for EIA, environmental surveys and environmental monitoring programs
• Monitor project progress, preparing regular reports for stakeholders on status and performance metrics.
• Facilitate workshops and presentations to educate internal and external stakeholders on sustainability best practices.
• Stay updated on the latest environmental policies and sustainability trends to inform project strategy and execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in project management within the environmental or sustainability sectors.
• Experience with environmental compliance, sustainability reporting, and project management methodologies.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
• Certifications related to project management (e.g., PMP) and/or sustainability (e.g., LEED) are a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-cultural environments and manage projects in Saudi Arabia.
• Proficiency in project management tools and sustainability metrics/reporting software.
