Ecora Consultants Ltd. is seeking an Environmental Services Discipline Lead to join our growing multidisciplinary team. This position will be based in one of our British Columbia offices to support our expanding environmental services workload across the province. We are seeking a strategic and experienced environmental professional who is proficient in operational leadership, financial management, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, business development, and team mentorship.
Ecora’s Environmental Services team provides comprehensive environmental consulting services in support of infrastructure development, resource management, municipal and provincial initiatives, and private sector projects. Our team works closely with provincial government agencies, municipalities, First Nation communities, developers, and multidisciplinary project teams throughout British Columbia. The Environmental Services Discipline Lead will play a critical role in strengthening technical excellence, operational efficiency, and strategic growth within the discipline while collaborating closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Sector Leads, Account Managers, and other Discipline Leads.
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field with at least 10 years of consulting experience in environmental services is required. The successful candidate must hold a registered professional designation (P.Eng., P.Ag., R.P.Bio., or equivalent) and possess a minimum of 5 years of leadership or management experience.
The successful candidate’s duties will include leading and implementing operational improvements within the Environmental Services discipline; overseeing monthly profit and loss (P&L) performance; reviewing weekly performance metrics with the COO; maintaining labour forecasts and workload planning; ensuring structured project milestone reviews at 30%, 60%, and 90% completion; managing resource coordination across internal and external teams; leading weekly discipline meetings; providing mentorship and professional development to team members; auditing complex project deliverables; leading senior-level technical reviews of environmental assessments, impact statements, and compliance reports; serving as the final technical authority for high-stakes environmental documentation; collaborating on business development initiatives and proposal preparation; contributing to long-term strategic planning; and ensuring alignment with applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards in British Columbia.

• Strong understanding of environmental regulations, permitting, and regulatory frameworks in British Columbia
• Proven experience managing multiple projects and teams simultaneously
• Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, scheduling, forecasting, risk management, and resource planning
• Experience supporting business development initiatives and fostering client relationships
• Excellent leadership, mentorship, and team development capabilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High level of organization, accountability, and professional integrity
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary consulting environment
Other Desirable Skills & Qualifications:
• Experience working on multidisciplinary infrastructure and development projects
• Familiarity with provincial and federal environmental assessment processes
• Experience contributing to marketing initiatives and strategic growth planning
• Experience developing internal training resources and quality management systems
• Strong understanding of professional practice standards and risk management in environmental consulting
• Intermediate First Aid Certification considered an asset
