The ETL Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data integration solutions for healthcare and insurance data. The role focuses on processing high-volume claims, enrollment, provider, and member data, while ensuring data accuracy, regulatory compliance, and seamless system integrations across health plan platforms.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize ETL workflows for claims, enrollment, provider, and member datasets.
  • Process and manage healthcare EDI transactions including 837 (Claims), 835 (Payments), and 834 (Enrollment).
  • Build and maintain data feeds for regulatory and compliance reporting such as HEDIS, Star Ratings, and Risk Adjustment.
  • Integrate data across multiple health plan systems and downstream reporting platforms.
  • Troubleshoot data quality issues and implement validation, reconciliation, and audit frameworks.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and timeliness across all ETL pipelines.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure secure handling of PHI.
  • Collaborate with business, analytics, and compliance teams to support reporting and operational requirements.
  • Document ETL processes, data mappings, and transformation logic.

Required Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in ETL development and data integration.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a healthcare, health plan, payer, or insurance environment.
  • Strong expertise in SQL and ETL tools such as Informatica, SSIS, or Talend.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare operations including claims processing, eligibility, and provider networks.
  • Hands-on experience with healthcare data standards such as X12 EDI and HL7.
  • Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and secure handling of PHI.
  • Proven ability to analyze, debug, and resolve complex data issues.
