Inside the Data Centre: Careers in Critical Infrastructure
CDC is hosting an Industry Insights event at its Brooklyn data centre campus, offering a behind-the-scenes look at how largescale infrastructure is built, operated and maintained.
The evening is designed for people who enjoy working with real systems including electrical, mechanical, cooling, monitoring and controls, and want to understand how those skills translate into a live data centre environment.
Attendees will hear from CDC team members across different functions, explore key operational environments through guided tours, and gain practical insight into the day-to-day work involved in running critical infrastructure.
Our Industry Insights event will provide a unique opportunity to:
- See how critical systems operate in real time
- Understand the technical skills that translate well into a data centre environment
- Hear from people currently working in technical facilities roles
- Learn how different technical pathways fit within the broader operations of a live site
The focus of the evening is learning and transparency, giving people a clear, realistic understanding of the environment, the work and the career pathways available. Anyone wanting to explore further can speak with the team about next steps.
