Fiber Floating Laborer - Fort Wayne, IN

Travel-Based - Fort Wayne, Valparaiso, South Bend, Chicago etc. | Full-Time and Overtime Available | Per Diem Provided

VEA Connect is seeking motivated Fiber Floating Laborers to support ongoing fiber installation projects. This role involves assisting Fiber Technicians with site preparation, material handling, fiber installation support, and maintaining strict safety standards in the field.

We are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic who take ownership of their responsibilities, are dependable, willing to learn, and committed to developing their skills in the fiber industry. This is not a position for those seeking minimal effort or short-term involvement. We value accountability, reliability, and a team-first mindset on every project.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with fiber installation and duct preparation

• Load, unload, and transport materials

• Perform site preparation, including clearing debris and setting barriers

• Direct on-site traffic and set up safety signage when required

• Maintain clean and organized job sites

• Assist equipment operators and technicians as needed

• Follow all safety protocols and site procedures

Requirements

• Construction or telecom experience preferred

• Ability to travel for project assignments

• Valid driver’s license preferred

• Ability to work in all weather conditions

• Strong work ethic and team-oriented mindset
