About Montauk Capital
Montauk Capital is an investment management platform that spans venture investing and venture studio efforts that builds and invests in category leading companies. We focus on backing tech companies in the ‘Electron Economy,’ the massive shift toward software-enabled industrial and energy systems. This generational transition is reshaping how we power intelligence, move people and goods, and build resilient industries. From AI, data centers and Web3 to industrial robotics and re-shoring supply chains, the future of growth is built on electrification and the intelligent use of energy.
Stealth Water Company is pioneering a new approach to delivering clean, affordable drinking water through distributed, intelligent water-generation and distribution systems. Leveraging AI and edge computing, the platform continuously optimizes performance, efficiency, and reliability at the local level while enabling scalable deployment across diverse environments. We have established partnerships, first capital loaded,, and are preparing to move from pilot to scale deployments.
We’re seeking a Field General to partner with us to drive our GTM approach and manage and expand deployments for our Stealth Water Company.
You will build deep relationships with early target customers to help shape and win early deployments. You’ll own the full commercial cycle from discovery through pilot rollout, using warm and cold networks and consultative engagement to open doors, understand customer energy needs, and co‑design tailored installations. Working closely with the technical team and CEO and co-founder, you’ll translate insights from the field into product, pricing, and go‑to‑market strategy, laying the foundation for a scalable sales playbook and future expansion across verticals and geographies.
What You'll Do
Execute and expand Go To Market Strategy
Identify and open doors into target customers (e.g., higher-end hotels, select C&I sites, high profile events)
Build and maintain a focused early pipeline of high-potential accounts
Lead discovery conversations to understand load profiles, constraints, and buying processes
Build multi-threaded relationships across facilities, sustainability, and finance
Establish company as a trusted, long-term partner
Co-design early deployments
Translate customer needs into scoped pilots and deployments (size, configuration, integration)
Work closely with the team on feasibility, economics, and deployment phasing
Align expectations on timelines, responsibilities, and success metrics
Contribute to long term strategic vision
Capture patterns across early customers: who buys, what they value, what blocks them
Feed insights into product roadmap, pricing/contract structures, and positioning
Contribute to building a repeatable, scalable commercial motion
3–6 years of experience in BD / sales / “commercial” roles with a background in one of the following:
Distributed solar / microgrids
EV charging
Other onsite energy / building infrastructure solutions
Physical systems + services, not just pure SaaS
Emerging markets
Some direct or adjacent experience with:
Higher-end hotels / hospitality
C&I customers with meaningful onsite loads
Real estate developers
Experience selling first-of-a-kind / complex deployments
Experience at an early stage company or creating and scaling a new business line at an established company
Expertise with ground-level project scoping with permitting and installation as part of the delivery process.
Able to think “10 steps ahead” about customer lifecycle, economics, and expansion
Elite relationship builder who can be a trusted advisor, not a pure quota-carrier
Can synthesize customer learnings into concrete product and strategy recommendations
Proficiency in scaling with AI tools (you hack your own productivity)
Strong knowledge and expertise in the water, distributed energy, or real estate development and infrastructure space
Has built pipeline and “1 to many” playbooks from scratch
Track record in early-stage roles expanding from initial to multi-site deployments.
Fluency in a second language (Arabic or Spanish)
Become a founding team member shaping the future of affordable, reliable water access, with meaningful ownership and long-term upside. You’ll collaborate with top-tier climate investors and partners to build not just a product, but a scalable infrastructure platform with global impact.
