Our client is a family of SBA-certified Native American Tribal 8(a) and multi-certified companies delivering IT, management consulting, and general construction solutions to the Federal Government and commercial sector.
They are actively seeking a Financial Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our client's dynamic team supporting a Team Awareness Kit Interagency program.
Clearance: Public Trust background investigation is required for this position.
Workplace Type: This position will be staffed as full-time equivalent (FTE). Work will be completed on-site at a government facility in Washington DC.
Compensation: $75 – 90K per year
The main responsibilities of the role include:
Oversee operational and projected expense plans (budget management).
Verify invoice compliance with contractual terms and fee schedules.
Identify trends, discrepancies, deficiencies, and imbalances.
Support short- and long-term financial planning to improve project and program cost efficiency.
Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve operations.
Prepare accounting and financial reports.
Manage invoice inquiries and billing disputes.
Utilize data from multiple systems to produce reports and audit/reconcile inventory.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve billing issues and perform root cause analysis.
Process service order and incident queues (Adds/Moves/Changes/Disconnects) through defined workflow procedures.
Participate in technical and management meetings as required.
Perform month-end and year-end close procedures.
Qualifications:
Three years of experience in finance and accounting; or
Two years of experience as a Government Billing Specialist; or
A degree in Accounting or Finance with one to two years of relevant experience.
Public Trust eligible.
Additional Qualifications:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with high-volume invoicing preferred.
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks under limited supervision and tight deadlines.
Experience working across multiple systems and platforms.
Knowledge of telecommunications/network billing preferred.
Basic accounting knowledge.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments.
Proven ability to audit and investigate data from multiple sources.
College or technical degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
