The Role
The role will involve producing accurate, timely and compliant annual financial reporting accounts for all of Titan’s entities. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure while collaborating with auditors and internal teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for Titan Group consolidation, follow up on queries, and ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards.

This is a 6-month fixed-term contract - 35 hours a week - 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and produce Titan Group consolidation and appropriate disclosure notes for inclusion in the annual financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP requirements.
  • Prepare and implement all consolidation entries
  • Assist with preparation of Titan Group single entity financial statements
  • Liaise and coordinate with external auditors, providing requested information, and resolving queries promptly.
  • Prepare all relevant technical papers (impairment review, going concern and any other technical papers as required)
  • Develop and maintain detailed schedules for all Balance Sheet accounts, including all consolidation schedules (business combination, goodwill, retained earnings, P13 adjustments)
  • Follow up on outstanding queries and work with stakeholders for delivery of all required information and timely completion
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data through robust review and reconciliation processes.
  • Monthly review of Balance Sheet movements
  • Ensure the financial statements are in full compliance with FRS 102
  • Year-end planning, preparation of audit requests & Balance sheet review Assist with the financial accounting and reporting aspects of any acquisition integrations including fair value adjustments, goodwill calculation and consolidation of acquired balances
  • Adopt a continuous improvement approach and work with stakeholders to develop streamlined, high quality and executive processes
  • Requirements:

  • Experience in financial reporting within Financial Services
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS reporting requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, influencing skills and ability to work effectively in a team
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to manage tight deadlines
  • Experience with multiple entities and in multi- currency consolidation
  • Experience of merger and acquisitions accounting and integration advantageous
  • Qualifications:

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) required
