The Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for preparing, analyzing, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports and statements. This role supports management in financial planning, decision-making, and compliance with regulatory and internal reporting requirements. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, keen attention to detail, and a deep understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and regulatory compliance.

  • Analyze financial performance, trends, and variances versus budget and forecasts.

  • Consolidate financial data from multiple business units or stores and ensure accuracy.

  • Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for management reports and audits.

2. Budgeting & Forecasting Support

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.

  • Provide variance analysis between actual results and budgets/forecasts, highlighting key drivers and recommendations.

  • Support the Finance Supervisor in financial planning and performance monitoring.

3. Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure reports comply with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

  • Coordinate with external auditors and provide required documentation during audits.

  • Maintain and improve internal controls related to financial reporting processes.

4. Process Improvement & Systems

  • Identify opportunities to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy through automation or process improvements.

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and tools.

  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across all reporting platforms.

5. Ad Hoc Reports & Projects

  • Prepare customized financial analyses to support business initiatives or management inquiries.

  • Participate in cross-functional projects that impact financial reporting and business performance.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.

  • Experience: At least 2–3 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or audit (experience in F&B or retail industry is an advantage).

  • Certification: CPA is an advantage but not required.

  • Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of financial statements, accounting principles, and reporting standards.

    • Proficient in MS Excel and financial reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite).

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

    • Good communication and presentation skills.
