Founding Designer
WilsonAI is building Cursor for lawyers, helping legal teams review, negotiate, and manage contracts with unprecedented speed and accuracy. We are backed by Nomad Ventures and Autopilot and raised a $1.7M pre seed round at the end of 2024.
Since then, we have stabilised our product with early customers, beaten competitors in head to head pilots with teams handling hundreds of millions in revenue, and scaled through founder led sales to multi six figure revenue. We have been featured in The Lawyer, Artificial Lawyer, and more. We are at the very beginning of a once in a generation opportunity to transform the trillion dollar legal industry with AI.
The role
We are looking for an exceptional Founding Design Engineer with outstanding aesthetic taste and strong frontend engineering skills.
You will work very closely with our CTO, interface directly with customers, and act as the founding tastemaker for WilsonAI. You will shape how the product looks, feels, and behaves across every surface, from core product workflows to marketing and presentation assets.
This is a hands on role with end to end ownership. You will move quickly, get deep into the details, and be responsible for taking ideas from concept through to polished production. This role is demanding and high impact.
What you will do
Design and build polished, high quality product interfaces using React and TypeScript
Own complex, information dense workflows such as document review and AI assisted contract flows
Craft smooth, intuitive AI native interfaces that make LLM powered features feel fast and trustworthy
Work directly with customers to understand pain points and validate design decisions
Own the full design to implementation pipeline, from early concepts to shipped features
Act as the aesthetic bar setter across the product and all digital assets
What we are looking for
Exceptional aesthetic judgement and attention to detail
Strong frontend engineering skills, particularly in React and TypeScript
Product intuition for complex, professional grade interfaces
Sharp instincts for AI driven UX and how to present LLM outputs cleanly
Deep care for craft and a desire to build something genuinely beautiful
Comfortable working directly with customers and incorporating feedback quickly
High agency, self directed, and comfortable owning outcomes end to end
Ex founders and startup oriented engineers are especially welcome
