Most AI is frozen in place - it doesn't adapt to the world. We think that's backwards. Our mandate is to build efficient intelligence that evolves in real-time. Our vision is AI systems that are flexible, personalized, and accessible to everyone. We believe efficiency is what makes this possible - it's how we expand access and ensure innovation benefits the many, not the few. We believe in talent density: bringing together the best and most driven individuals to push the boundaries of continual adaptation. We're looking for builders and creative thinkers ready to shape the next era of intelligence.
We're looking for the voice of our developer community. You'll be the first dedicated developer advocate on our team, which means you'll have outsized influence in shaping how developers discover, adopt, and build with Adaption - from first touch to power user.
You're a builder at heart. You’re comfortable writing production-quality Python, crafting a quick-start guide, and jumping on a call with a developer who's stuck. You care deeply about creating joyful, high-impact developer experiences: shipping reference implementations, owning documentation end-to-end, and removing friction wherever you find it. You prioritize human connection and invent new ways to meet developers where they are. Join us and help write the earliest chapters of our story.
Build Developer Infrastructure
Design and ship proof-of-concept integrations, reference implementations, and sample apps that demonstrate what's possible with Adaption's platform
Own the end-to-end developer documentation experience—from API references to conceptual guides—writing content that is clear, accurate, and genuinely delightful to read
Run rapid experiments to discover what resonates with developers: new content formats, onboarding flows, tooling improvements, and community initiatives
Identify friction in the developer journey and partner with product and engineering to remove it, whether that's improving SDKs, error messages, or first-run experiences
Drive Developer Growth and Adoption
Create a steady stream of technical content - blog posts, video tutorials, live coding sessions, podcast appearances - that helps developers learn, build, and succeed with Adaption
Craft compelling onboarding sequences, quick-start guides, and interactive demos that reduce time-to-first-value for new developers
Track and report on developer community health metrics - activation, engagement, retention, NPS - and use data to continuously improve programs
Champion Developers Internally
Serve as the internal voice for developer needs, translating community feedback into concrete product requirements and influencing the roadmap
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and marketing to ensure the developer perspective is represented in every major decision
Help establish the developer relations function from scratch—building playbooks, processes, and a culture of developer empathy across the company
2–3+ years of experience in Developer Relations, Developer Advocacy, Developer Experience, or a closely related technical community role
Strong AI fundamentals and hands-on experience working with AI tools, APIs, and frameworks - you understand the ecosystem developers are building in today
A portfolio of technical content you're proud of: blog posts, video tutorials, open source contributions, conference talks, or community-building initiatives (share your GitHub!)
Full-stack ownership mindset: you're comfortable taking large, ambiguous initiatives from zero to one with minimal guidance and a strong bias toward action
Clear, compelling communicator for technical audiences—you can explain a complex API concept to a beginner and debate architectural tradeoffs with a senior engineer
Genuine enthusiasm for developer tools, developer experience best practices, and the craft of making technical products a pleasure to use
Proficiency in Python and comfort reading and writing production-quality code - you can build the demos you talk about
Above all, we're looking for great teammates who make work feel lighter and aren't afraid to go out on a limb with bold ideas. You don't need to be perfect, but you do need to be adaptable. We encourage you to apply, even if you don't check every box.
Flexible work: In-person collaboration in the Bay Area, a distributed global-first team, and quarterly offsites.
Adaption Passport: Annual travel stipend to explore a country you've never visited. We're building intelligence that evolves alongside you, so we encourage you to keep expanding your horizons.
Lunch Stipend: Weekly meal allowance for take-out or grocery delivery.
Well-Being: Comprehensive medical benefits and generous paid time off.
