M3 IME is seeking a Medical Writer with a background in Independent Medical Education (IME/CME) to support the development of evidence-based, fair-balanced educational content for healthcare
professionals across multiple therapeutic areas.
The ideal candidate has strong scientific writing skills, experience developing needs
assessments and learning objectives, and a working understanding of outcomes frameworks
(including Moore’s Levels).
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop educational content for IME/CME activities, including slide decks, case studies,
- scripts, storyboards, and written materials
- Conduct literature research and synthesize clinical data into clear, accurate, and
- balanced educational content
- Develop needs assessments based on literature, expert input, and prior program

- Create measurable learning objectives aligned to identified practice gaps and Moore’s
- Levels of Outcomes
- Review and QC faculty-provided materials for scientific accuracy, balance, and clarity
- Format and improve PowerPoint presentations and written documents as needed
- Incorporate feedback from internal teams, faculty, and accreditors
- Compile and correctly format references and source documentation
- Ensure content aligns with IME/CME compliance and accreditation expectations
Qualifications
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a life science discipline (PhD, MSc, PharmD, MD) or equivalent

- 2+ years of experience in medical writing within IME/CME, medical education, or
- medical communications
- Demonstrated experience with needs assessments and learning objective development
- Familiarity with Moore’s Levels or outcomes-based education frameworks
- Strong ability to interpret clinical trial data and primary literature
- Excellent written English and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
Desirable:
- Understanding of accreditation frameworks (e.g., ACCME, EBAC, EACCME)
- Experience writing grant proposals or grant-supporting needs assessments for
- independent medical education
- Experience across multiple therapeutic areas
- Familiarity with global IME/CME standards and accreditor expectations
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines across multiple projects
