front End Developer
Role: Front End Developer
Location: Harrisburg, PA
Duration: 6 -12 months+
Our client, in Harrisburg Pa, is looking for multiple Front End Developers for a major project that was recently awarded. These positions will be 6-12 month + contracts with the potential of hire. The qualified candidates will be responsible for responsive front end/client side web development (CSS, JavaScript, and HTML). Knowledge of .Net environments will be a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Develop internet applications using a variety of client side technologies including HTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, and Media Queries.
- Develop standards compliant, browser compatible code for use in web applications.
- Work with Customer Experience Designers and Application Developers to realize product requirements.
- Collaborate with other team members to recommend optimal user experience solutions.
Must Haves:
- Experience developing web applications and websites using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, XML, and AJAX.
- Experience developing in an enterprise-scale environment.
- Experience developing dynamic responsive websites.
- Familiarity with Web 2.0 concepts and how it applies to user interface designs.
- Experience building rich client side interfaces.
- AJAX concept and implementation of EXT (Extension) Framework if candidate does not have AJAX.
- Experience working with JavaScript frameworks (JQuery, Dojo, etc.)
- Adobe Suite, Fireworks, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
- Experience with cross browser and cross platform compatibility testing.
- Experience in concepts of web design and development workflows, specifically in areas of translating UI designs into graphics and markup.
- Familiarity of accessibility standards for web (Section 508).
Nice to Haves:
- Experience building dynamic web apps using PHP, Java, or Cold Fusion.
- JSF Frameworks such as RichFaces.
- .Net Application Development.
- Usability concepts and methods familiarity.
- Experience working with CMS (TeamSite, Site Executive, Drupal, Wordpress, etc.).
- Experience working with version control (SVN, etc.)
All candidates must have excellent communication skills, ability to follow lead of a team and set policies, procedures and standards.
