Key Tasks and Responsibilities
As part of the AIT Department, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Execute the thermal vacuum (TVAC) test campaign in a shift.
- Execute the calibration and characterization (C&C) campaign in the shift. Maintain and improve test procedures, execute them, and critically assess the test results;
- Analyse and correlate events to their possible root causes, as well as finding pragmatic solutions to cope with time pressure without arming the flight hardware.
- Exchange with the project teams to provide test strategies that suit the best in terms of quality, time, and costs;
- Participate in non-conformances and support investigations, taking into account the company quality standards;
- Willingness to work in shifts over several months: 3 days early (07:00–15:00 Uhr), 3 days late (15:00–23:00 Uhr), 3 days night (23:00–07:00 Uhr), 3 -4 days free;
Qualifications
Skills & Experience
You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Aerospace, or Embedded Systems;
- Professional experience in aerospace engineering of at least 2 years;
- Experience working with space standards (ECSS) would be a plus;
- Experience in testing would be a plus;
- MS-Office special knowledge;
- comfortable with network management
- Fluency in English is mandatory; German would be a plus;
- Experience working with a central checkout system, including SCOS2k databases and Consultative Committee for Space Data Systems (CCSDS)/Packet Utilization Standard, would be a plus;
- Telecommands and telemetry management would be a plus;
