Are you a passionate educator, making a difference in the lives of students with SEN or SEHM needs? We are looking for experienced and dedicated tutors. You’ll provide personalised, 1:1 support in Functional Skills English and Maths for Level 1 students. These online and in-person sessions in Barnet offer the chance to work closely with students, helping them build skills and confidence in a supportive and tailored learning environment.
- This job is initially fully online, then will move to be in-person in the Barnet area.
- Day(s): Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday
- Hour(s): 1 hr/week
- Time(s): 11am/12pm
- Subject and Level: Functional Skills Entry Level 1 English and Maths
- Start date: As soon as possible
- Rate of pay: £30 p/h
What You'll Do
- Provide 1:1 tuition that is appropriate for the individuals needs and study level
- Plan engaging lessons tailored to the unique needs of each student
- Assess barriers to learning and create a positive and supportive learning environment
- Monitor progress, produce reports and adapt teaching strategies to achieve measurable outcomes
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum content and qualification frameworks you're providing subject tuition in
- Regularly reporting updates to the Tuition Programmes Manager
Requirements
We're looking for someone who has:
- A Bachelor’s degree
- 1+ years of tutoring / teaching experience.
- An ability to adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The right to be self employed in the UK
