Are you a passionate educator, making a difference in the lives of students with SEN needs? We are looking for experienced and dedicated tutors. You’ll provide personalised, 1:1 support in GCSE English and Maths. These in-person sessions in Barnet offer the chance to work closely with students, helping them build skills and confidence in a supportive and tailored learning environment.
- This job is in-person in the Barnet area.
- Day(s): Sundays
- Hour(s): up to 2 hr/week
- Time(s): 12pm - 2pm
- Subject and Level: GCSE English and Maths
- Start date: As soon as possible
- Rate of pay: £30 p/h
What You'll Do
- Provide 1:1 tuition that is appropriate for the individuals needs and study level
- Plan engaging lessons tailored to the unique needs of each student
- Assess barriers to learning and create a positive and supportive learning environment
- Monitor progress, produce reports and adapt teaching strategies to achieve measurable outcomes
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum content and qualification frameworks you're providing subject tuition in
- Regularly reporting updates to the Tuition Programmes Manager
Requirements
We're looking for someone who has:
- A Bachelor’s degree
- 1+ years of tutoring / teaching experience.
- Experience working with students with speech and communication needs.
- An ability to adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The right to be self employed in the UK
