General Accountant (Based in Da Nang)
As a General Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the general accounting functions of the company. You will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. Key Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day accounting functions, including maintaining general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Record financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconcile accounts, including bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s internal processes, accounting standards and regulations.
- Prepare financial statements, perform balance sheet and trial balance reconciliations; coordinate with management for month-end and year-end reports.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls; assist with initial internal control evaluations.
- Monitor and control expenses to ensure they align with the budget, make recommendations for budget adjustments as necessary.
- Assist in the analysis of financial data to support decision-making.
- Prepare and file various tax reports, including income tax, VAT, and other applicable taxes.
- Assess and highlight tax risk, recommend proper practice to the line manager.
- Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and accounting standards.
- Prepare documents for local authorities and external audits; provide data and explanations to auditors and inspection agencies.
- Prepare periodic reports required by authorities such as State Bank, statistics office.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or relevant degree.
- +5 years of experience in Accounting, at least 2 year as a General Accountant, preferably in FDI company, IT/Service industry
- Proven previous working experience in a similar role
- Great knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
- Proficiency in accounting software (Misa) and Microsoft Excel; experience with QuickBooks or Xero is a big plus.
- Experience with general ledger functions
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- Intermediate English communication
NICE TO HAVE:
