TITLE: Union Coffee Barista

DEPARTMENT: Union Coffee Co.

REPORTS TO: Union Coffee Manager

The Union Coffee Barista partners with the work of God at Ocean Church by fostering and maintaining a warm, inviting, and peaceful environment for Union Coffee patrons. The Union Coffee Barista will partner with a team of volunteers, open/close the shop, and help sustain the daily operations of Union Coffee. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet and welcome Union Coffee patrons 
• Partner with Union Coffee staff and volunteer team
• Build relationships with Union Coffee volunteer team 
• Champion the overall vision and execution of Union Coffee Co.
• Help maintain a healthy volunteer structure
• Clean and maintain equipment
• Keep coffee bar area neat and sanitary
• Help to restock, clean, and organize the stockroom
• Take orders, make beverages and food items, and serve Union Coffee guests

WORK SCHEDULE

Part-Time Sunday-Thursday (days may be subject to change with Union Coffee)

• Familiar with Mac OS, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and G-Suite; able to learn new applications and/or adapt to updates
• Has a servant’s heart and a Kingdom mindset in making a place for people to encounter Jesus.
• Has a relational capacity to care for others while also making coffee shop operations run smoothly
• Has experience/ability to learn a barista role
• Able to manage multiple tasks at once with excellence and intentionality
• Takes initiative and can work independently

Physical ability to work in an office, church, or public setting as required by this job description. Tasks may require moderate lifting and/or transporting coffee goods.
