We are looking for an experienced Global VAT Lead to join our growing tax team in Dublin. In this role, you'll own VAT compliance strategy and execution for all non-US markets, while building and managing a global team of VAT subject matter experts. You'll work closely with our tax operations, engineering, and customer-facing teams to ensure our platform delivers accurate, reliable tax compliance for customers operating globally.
You'll be joining at a pivotal moment as we establish our Dublin office and expand our European presence. This is a chance to shape how Anrok approaches global tax compliance from the ground up, with real ownership and visibility across the organization.
In this role, you will:
Build, mentor, and manage a distributed team of VAT specialists, establishing clear processes and quality standards.
Serve as the internal authority on EMEA indirect tax matters.
Partner with product teams to shape how we handle specific tax challenges, including e-invoicing mandates, fiscal representation requirements, and country-specific filing obligations.
Train our tax operations team to oversee VAT compliance operations across global markets, ensuring accurate filings for Anrok and our customers.
Support customer implementations and escalations involving global tax compliance. Stay ahead of regulatory changes across and translate them into actionable guidance for the business.
What excites us:
You have a strong background with 6+ years of experience working with VAT.
Strong working knowledge of VAT registration, filing, and reporting requirements across multiple EU jurisdictions.
Prior experience managing or leading a team, with a track record of developing talent and scaling operations.
Familiarity with fiscal representative arrangements and tax agent obligations.
Experience working with tax technology platforms or in a SaaS environment is a plus.
Based in Dublin with the right to work in Ireland.
