As a Graphic Design Intern at ButcherBox, you will hone your creativity while gaining valuable experience and mentorship from seasoned professionals in the industry. If you are passionate about design and eager to contribute your skills to exciting projects, we want to hear from you!
This is hybrid position, with the expectation that the person in the role will work from our Watertown, MA a minimum of 2 days a week June 2nd - August 14th.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
•Work collaboratively with the Senior Designer, Copywriters, and other marketing team members to develop creative solutions that meet project objectives and stakeholders needs.
•Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of design, ensuring high-quality deliverables that align with brand guidelines and project specifications.
•Iterate and refine existing creative assets based on feedback and project requirements, maintaining consistency and quality across all materials.
•Translate client briefs and concepts into visually compelling designs, effectively communicating key messages and brand identity.
•Actively listen to the needs and feedback from stakeholders, brand managers and senior designers- incorporating their input to refine designs and achieve final deliverable.
•Maintain organized file management systems to streamline workflow efficiency and facilitate easy access to project materials.
•Stay updated on industry trends, design best practices, and emerging technologies to continually enhance skills and contribute fresh ideas to the team.
Skills and Experience:
•Working toward a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field.
•Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design software including Figma.
•Strong portfolio showcasing creative design work, with an emphasis on attention to detail, creativity, and versatility.
•Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively articulate ideas and incorporate feedback from team members and clients.
•Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
•A keen eye for design aesthetics, typography, color theory, and layout principles.
•Strong organizational skills with a focus on file management and project documentation.
Compensation: $22/hour
