About the Role:
The Head of Digital & Direct is responsible for defining and executing the end to end strategy for Plenti’s digital direct to consumer lending channel across our personal and auto lending products. In this role, you will own full P&L accountability, define and execute an ambitious growth roadmap, lead a multidisciplinary team spanning Growth Marketing, Funnel Optimisation, Cross-Sell/Refinance and Sales, and ensure we deliver a seamless, highly personalised customer journey.
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategy and P&L Ownership: Define and execute Plenti’s direct lending strategy, growth roadmap, P&L management, and alignment with our broader business objectives.
• Growth & Budget Management: Lead the development, budgeting, and execution of comprehensive customer acquisition strategies across Growth Marketing and Funnel Optimisation to maximize ROI and achieve profit targets.
• Customer Value Optimisation and AI Utilisation: Drive continuous enhancement of conversion rates and maximize customer lifetime value through data-driven funnel optimization, cross-selling, upselling, and refinance strategies based on sophisticated segmentation, leveraging advanced AI and machine learning models for predictive analytics and personalization.
• Team & Organisational Leadership: Build, evolve, and provide strategic leadership and mentorship to the multi-disciplinary direct lending function, establishing performance frameworks, KPIs, and talent development pathways.
• Product Development & Market Research: Lead competitive analysis and market research to identify opportunities for new product development and ideation, pricing, and channel expansion in personal and auto lending.
• Strategic Partnerships: Manage Plenti’s strategic partnership including major bank partnerships to drive growth and product distribution.
• Technology & Enablement: Oversee Plenti’s MarTech stack and drive continuous improvement of the application process and customer experience.
• Risk, Compliance & Operations: Partner with risk, compliance, and operations teams to ensure adherence to regulatory and responsible lending practices, while driving process improvements for operational efficiency and high customer satisfaction.
About You:
The successful candidate will combine strategic vision with hands-on commercial leadership, balancing ambitious growth targets with disciplined digital leadership, project management, risk oversight, and exceptional customer experience delivery.
Key Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Marketing, Technology or related fields (higher qualifications are preferred)
• Minimum 7+ years professional experience, bringing deep expertise across two or more of the following areas: Sales Leadership, Partnership Development, Product Management, Growth Marketing, Pricing or Portfolio Management
• Deep Customer Journey expertise with experience designing and optimising critical funnel strategies that materially improve conversion, retention and CLV
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate with diverse groups with ability to align competing priorities, drive joint decision making and securing buy in for key initiatives
• Demonstrated people management and leadership experience managing a multi-disciplinary teams across Sales and Marketing including talent recruitment, coaching, performance management and change leadership
• Proven experience within FinTech, Consumer Lending or broader Financial Services is highly regarded however, demonstrable success in other high growth direct to consumer businesses will be considered
