Role Purpose
As a pivotal member of the financial team at Unilabs, the Senior Accountant will play a key role in ensuring that all accounting processes for our companies are executed with precision and integrity. This role will require a deep understanding of both IFRS and local GAAP, as well as the ability to handle complex intercompany transactions and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Transactions:
- Ensure all accounting records are compliant with IFRS and local GAAP
- Manage intercompany transactions and coordinate cost reinvoicing between entities
- Maintain the chart of accounts and implement controls over accounting transactions adhering to Group procedures
Reporting:
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial statements
- Report monthly results in the consolidation tool (IS, BS, CF, and ad-hoc footnotes)
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses and provide support to local teams for statutory purposes
Compliance, Tax, Treasury & Law:
- Oversee tax responsibilities including VAT returns, income tax filings, and withholding tax in collaboration with local teams
- Facilitate annual audits and periodic reviews by external auditors
- Ensure compliance with Group policies and procedures
- Strengthen internal controls and recommend improvements where necessary
- Manage timely bank payment processes
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- Professional accounting certification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role, mainly in a multinational environment.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, reporting standards, and internal controls.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to address complex financial issues and drive solutions.
- Excellent command of IFRS and local GAAP regulations.
- Meticulous attention to detail, ability to produce high-quality output under tight deadlines.
- Proficient in IT applications and advanced Excel skills; familiarity with Tagetik is advantageous.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Fluency in French is required.
