Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on HR Manager to own and optimize the full people operations function within a fast-growing organization. This role will be responsible for building scalable HR systems and processes while supporting a high-performance, people-first culture. The ideal candidate has experience supporting growing teams and can balance structure with flexibility in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
People Operations & Compliance
- Manage day-to-day HR operations across the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, and offboarding
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, internal policies, and HR best practices
- Maintain accurate employee records, policies, and internal documentation
Payroll & Benefits
- Oversee payroll processing to ensure accuracy and timely execution
- Partner with finance and external vendors on payroll, benefits administration, and tax filings
- Manage benefits enrollment, administration, and employee inquiries
HRIS & Systems
- Own and manage HRIS platforms (e.g., BambooHR, Rippling, Gusto, or similar)
- Ensure data accuracy, reporting, and system optimization
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements to enhance efficiency
Recruiting & Talent Management
- Manage end-to-end recruiting for corporate and operational roles
- Partner with hiring managers on role scoping, interview processes, and offer management
- Support employer branding initiatives and ensure a positive candidate experience
Onboarding, Training & Development
- Own onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure seamless employee transitions
- Develop and enhance training programs and internal documentation
- Support performance management cycles and feedback processes
Culture & Employee Experience
- Serve as a trusted partner to employees and leadership
- Support engagement, retention, and internal communication initiatives
- Help scale company culture while reinforcing core values
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in HR, People Operations, or HR Management
- Hands-on experience across payroll, HRIS, recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Experience supporting fast-growing organizations, preferably in eCommerce, beauty, or consumer brands
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Nice to Have
- Experience in DTC, eCommerce, or beauty brands
- Experience working with distributed or remote teams
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or similar certification
