The Independent Living Administrator of Wellness, Lifestyles, and Resident Services is responsible for enhancing the quality of life for residents by designing and implementing engaging programs that support their physical, emotional, social, intellectual, artistic, and spiritual well-being. The position is responsible for developing, coordinating, and promoting creativity and life enhancing programs and events throughout the continuum. The position will foster an environment that encourages creative expression, lifelong learning, and social interaction.
Responsibilities
Develops, monitors, teaches and ensures that departmental programs, creative arts, activities, and events meet and exceed the needs of desires of residents throughout the CCRC continuum and are in compliance with regulations for Department of Health and Department of Social Services.
Oversee the team to create activity calendars with diverse offerings, fitness, educational, recreational and spiritual dimensions.
Oversee Fitness and Wellness program to include Fitness Center, swimming pool, and applicable fitness programs in carious levels of the continuum.
Organize new resident orientation.
Oversee various resident issues and requests, work closely with ancillary departments to fulfill requests while providing a high level of resident satisfaction.
Primarily responsible for resident movement through the continuum of care.
Oversee Transition of Care Manager and leadership of IDT team.
Lead department staff meetings and attend senior leader staff meetings.
Qualifications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and negotiation skills.
Excellent project management, time management, and fiscal responsibility.
Excellent decision-making skills, strong organizational skills, ability to work well with residents and staff, attention to detail and ability to prioritize and handle many projects at one time.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and thorough understanding of strategic development
Requrements
Bachelor’s degree in health administration, Human Services, Gerontology, Public Health, Social Work, or a related field required.
Minimum of five or more years of progressively responsible experience in senior living, independent living, long‑term care, community health, or disability services.
Minimum of three or more years of supervisory or management experience overseeing operations, compliance, or resident services.
Experience working with Senior Level executives in a corporate environment.
