THE WORK:
You’ll manage all aspects of project planning and development, including engineering, construction, scheduling, budgeting, funding, grants, and program closeout.You’ll review and analyze complex budgets, schedules, and costs to ensure alignment with approved scope, timelines, and funding.You’ll supervise project planners to ensure scopes, schedules, and budgets reflect stakeholder goals and program vision.You’ll develop and implement funding strategies, including leveraging grants, state matching funds, and nonprofit partnerships.You’ll perform value engineering to reduce or resolve cost overruns.You’ll develop executive-level reports, analyze project data, and propose new projects within assigned programs.You’ll manage program financial closeout by ensuring all documentation and financial reporting meet funding source requirements.You’ll serve as liaison for closed-out projects under litigation and provide documentation and deposition support when required.You’ll evaluate program performance and recommend improvements to reporting, policies, and processes.You’ll resolve complex technical issues for architects, engineers, and project managers.You’ll coordinate development and updates of construction policies, procedures, and specification guidelines.You’ll engage in community and stakeholder meetings, prepare agendas, and report on project progress for high-profile projects.You’ll mediate conflicts, participate in change order negotiations, and support contract reviews to ensure project alignment and compliance.
Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management. Candidates who do not meet the education requirements may substitute experience on a year for year basisTen (10) years full time paid professional experience in the management and administration of various programs and projects under programs to include, scope development, planning and design, budget and funding allocation and close-outMinimum four (4) years’ experience in managing programs in a public or educational agency, with full responsibility for coordinating complex activities

A valid Certificate of Registration as an Architect by the California State Architectural Board ORProfessional Engineer by the State Board for Professional Engineers and Land SurveyorsA valid Construction Manager (CCM) credential by the Construction Manager Certification Institute (CMCI)LEED Professional AccreditationExperience in managing multiple education or public agency programs concurrently is preferred
