This role is responsible for managing the complete sales process for telecommunications products within the small to medium-sized business (SMB) market in the United States, on behalf of an Australian-based organisation. The position emphasises consultative, relationship-driven selling instead of scripted or transactional approaches. It involves engaging with warm inbound leads generated through website and email inquiries to understand the needs of small and medium-sized businesses. The role includes recommending suitable solutions, managing follow-ups, and advancing opportunities to closure, all while delivering a high standard of customer experience.

  • Prospect and qualify leads through outbound calls, emails, and other communication channels.
  • Engage with potential customers to understand their needs and assess how products/services can meet those needs.
  • Maintain engagement and touch points with leads to drive conversion.
  • Close sales and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
  • Provide various sales and customer support functions to maintain customer retention and engagement levels.
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates on sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive offerings, and market developments to effectively position our products/services.

Desirable:

  • Telecommunications experience desirable but not essential, training will be provided. 

Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in business to business (B2B) sales or a similar role.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish relationships with clients and colleagues.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving sales targets and delivering exceptional customer service.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools.
