We are seeking a Field-Focused Integration Engineer to join our robotics team and lead the deployment of our robotic systems in real-world industrial environments. You will be responsible for hands-on installation, commissioning, and integration of robotic cells in production facilities, ensuring our systems meet safety standards and customer requirements while delivering exceptional performance.
Lead on-site installation and commissioning of robotic systems in customer facilities
Design and implement integration strategies for industrial robotic cells including manipulators, safety systems, and auxiliary equipment
Conduct system validation, safety assessments, and performance optimization in production environments
Ensure compliance with industrial safety standards and electrical codes
Provide hands-on customer support, training, and field troubleshooting services
Collaborate with customers to understand production requirements and adapt solutions accordingly
Develop deployment documentation, risk assessments, and standard operating procedures
Drive continuous improvement of field integration processes and best practices
Perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) to validate system performance
Bachelor's in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
3+ years of hands-on industrial robotics integration and deployment experience
Proven experience integrating robots in real production environments (academic/lab-only experience is not sufficient unless accompanied by significant industrial compliance experience)
Experience with 6-DOF robot arms from major manufacturers (ABB, KUKA, Fanuc, Universal Robots, or similar)
Strong knowledge of electrical and safety standards (ISO 10218, ANSI/RIA R15.06, NFPA 79, NEC, CE marking)
Experience with industrial PLCs, electrical panel design, and control systems
Proficiency in CAD software for layout design and integration planning
Understanding of motor control, servo systems, and industrial communication protocols
Ability to read and create electrical schematics and P&IDs
Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple customer deployments
Excellent communication skills and customer-facing experience
Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites
Master's degree in relevant engineering discipline
Professional certifications in robotics safety, electrical systems, or industrial automation (e.g., Certified Automation Professional, CSP, RIA, OSHA certifications)
Experience with specific industry verticals (automotive, manufacturing, electronics, logistics)
Knowledge of machine vision integration and CNC machinery
Experience with risk assessments and safety circuit design
