Location: Gowanus, Brooklyn, NY (In-office)
Salary: $95,000–$120,000 (DOE)
We are seeking a talented Interior Designer with commercial experience to join our Brooklyn-based studio. In this role, you will contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects spanning healthcare, multifamily residential, office, hospitality, and ground-up development. Working alongside a small, seasoned design team, you will be involved in all phases of the design process—from concept development through construction documentation.
• Produce comprehensive construction document sets in Revit, including floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, lighting layouts, interior elevations, and detail drawings.
• Develop 3D models and photorealistic renderings using SketchUp and Enscape to support client presentations and design development.
• Contribute to concept development, including material and finish selections, furniture specifications, and color palette creation.
• Manage approximately three concurrent projects at various stages, collaborating closely with other designers on the team.
• Present design concepts and incorporate feedback, routing all major design decisions through the Head of Interior Design for approval.
Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a closely related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in commercial interior design (not solely residential).
• Strong proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, and Enscape.
• A portfolio demonstrating commercial project work, construction documentation, and 3D/rendered visuals.
Preferred
• Experience leveraging AI-powered design tools in the creative process.
• Positive, energetic, and collaborative—you thrive in a team setting and enjoy open creative dialogue.
• Highly organized with strong multitasking skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Seeking long-term career growth within a studio, not short-term engagements.
• Comfortable in a creative, expressive work culture where individuality is celebrated.
• In-office position based in Gowanus, Brooklyn, with a flexible start time (approximately 9:30–10:00 AM).
• Occasional remote Fridays may be available.
• Intimate team of four interior designers plus the Head of Interior Design.
• Benefits include 401(k) with employer contribution, and health insurance contribution.
