Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists supervisor in the leading, training, and mentoring of production control staff, including carrying out assigned tasks or assisting with delegation to team members, examines work for accuracy, neatness, and conformance to company policies and procedures, and assist in studying and standardizing procedures to improve efficiency.
- Conducts and reconciles weekly cycle counts to meet requirement from Mazda for DS parts as well as ensure inventory accuracy in SAP; compiles and maintains records such as material inventory and status and location of materials.
- Reviews open transfer order list to ensure all transfers are completed or closed as required.
- Reviews production schedules and related information and confers with department supervisors to determine material requirements for daily production.
- Monitors production planning and scheduling to ensure continuous material flow and on-time delivery of parts.
- Monitors and communicates Customer shipment status and support Planning, Shipping and Manufacturing departments to ensure shipments occur on time.
- Promotes high morale, teamwork, and a positive work environment.
- Ensures work procedures, work schedules, and workflows are being followed.
- Ensures incoming material is verified as accurate and undamaged. Examines material to verify conformance to quality standards and specifications.
- Ensures all incoming hazardous chemicals are labeled correctly; identifies and holds all non-conforming chemicals until processed per current company chemical list is updated.
- Ensures incoming and outgoing shipments are counted, weighed, and verified.
- Ensures proper placement of goods for effective FIFO and inventory rotation.
- Ensures finished goods are accurately packaged for delivery (i.e. banding, strapping, shrink wrapping, labeling, etc.), staged, and trucks are loaded to ensure proper placement to prevent shifting or damage during transport.
- Ensure completion of daily inspections, along with charging/maintaining the battery, and completes checklist for powered industrial trucks and other material handling equipment.
- Participates in and assist in leading 5S, Quality, Safety, Kaizen, and lean manufacturing activities.
- Reports any PC-related or other concerns to the Supervisor.
- Other duties and projects may be assigned based on the operational objectives of the company.
Education And/Or Experience:
High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) and minimum six (6) months experience ideally in automotive manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills with all level of employees. Strong organizational skills, teamwork, and leadership skills.

Requirements

Eligibility Requirements
1. Minimum Length of Service
Internal candidates must have completed at least 90 days of continuous service with HIROTEC Manufacturing America.
2. Performance and Conduct Review
Internal candidates must have no written counseling on file within six (6) months preceding the promotion or transfer request (excluding attendance warnings).
3. Attendance Standing
Internal candidates must maintain an attendance points balance of three (3) points or fewer for a minimum of six (6) months prior to being considered for an internal promotion. This does not apply to transfers.
4. Promotion and Transfer Frequency
Internal candidates are limited to one promotion or transfer within any six (6)-month period.
5. Application Requirement
Internal candidates must complete an internal position interest application by the ending of the posting dates to be considered for any promotion or transfer opportunity.
Probationary Period
All internal promotions or transfers are subject to a 90-day probationary period to evaluate performance and suitability for the role. At the end of this period, we will review the internal candidate’s performance to ensure a smooth transition into the new position.
