About the Role
As Head of Platform, you'll own and execute our technology strategy, translating vision into action. You'll work closely with customers, suppliers, funding providers, vendors, and cross-functional teams to align business needs, technical capabilities, and commercial goals. This is a fast-paced, high-growth environment where speed of execution matters, and this is your chance to shape and scale our platform at a pivotal stage.
Responsibilities
Technology Strategy & Leadership
Define and evolve Invensa’s technology vision, architecture, and roadmap, positioning the platform as a market-leading, technology-enabled inventory finance solution.
Partner with the CEO, COO and leadership team to translate commercial strategy into scalable technology execution.
Act as a core member of the executive team, shaping business strategy through a technology and data lens.
Platform & Scalability
Architect and deliver a secure, resilient, API-first platform capable of supporting multi-billion-dollar volumes across clients and geographies.
Drive the transition from bespoke builds to a productised, repeatable platform with defined standards, SLAs, and playbooks.
AI, Automation & Data
Lead Invensa’s AI and automation strategy, embedding intelligent workflows and reducing manual processes at scale.
Build a differentiated data capability to enhance operational performance and risk management.
Integration & Delivery
Own complex integrations across clients, suppliers, ERP systems (e.g. SAP), and funding partners, ensuring seamless interoperability.
Establish high-performing engineering, DevOps, and QA practices, with clear KPIs driving delivery, reliability, and efficiency.
Manage a hybrid model of internal teams and external partners to optimise speed, cost, and quality.
Governance, Risk & Investment
Ensure strong cybersecurity, data governance, regulatory compliance, and business continuity.
Own the technology budget and investment strategy, driving measurable commercial impact and disciplined build vs. buy decisions.
Stakeholder & Team Leadership
Present technology strategy and progress to the Board and investors, acting as a credible external representative.
Build and lead a high-performing, entrepreneurial technology team, attracting and developing top talent.
Qualifications & Required Skills
Bachelor's degree in a technical field required; advanced qualifications a plus.
12+ years in senior technology leadership roles, ideally in fintech, financial services, or complex digital platforms.
Strong expertise in databases, data architecture, and AI/ML applications.
Demonstrated experience designing and deploying autonomous AI agents and agentic workflows.
Solid understanding of supply chain operations and procurement processes; able to connect technology decisions to domain-specific challenges.
Familiarity with SAP and enterprise ERP systems (not required to be a specialist).
Proven track record delivering complex projects and scaling technology teams in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
Experience with P&L awareness, technology budgeting, and commercial decision-making.
Deep technical knowledge of system architecture, software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and information security.
Experience managing vendors and outsourced development.
