The IT Integration Manager is responsible for planning, designing, developing, and implementing all activities related to integrating software programs, applications, and third-party solutions to meet the organization's business requirements. This role will primarily focus on connecting systems, such as ERP, CRM, CMS, and others, both on-prem and cloud-based. The Integration Manager maintains and monitors the organization's application integration architecture blueprint and provides strategic leadership for integration initiatives. This role also manages the IT integration team, oversees project delivery, and ensures alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and business objectives. Although the location of the position is in Newton, NJ, from time to time it may be required to undertake duties at other Thorlabs locations.
Essential Job Functions include the following, but are not limited to:
- Manage the day-to-day activity of the IT integration engineering team, providing leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance.
- Lead the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for integration projects, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide development and architecture standards.
- Provide oversight of adherence to standards by reviewing project work, including technical specifications and architectural designs.
- Develop and maintain documentation for current integration points, systems architecture, and data flows.
- Provide expert advice to project teams and business stakeholders on integration technology, data architecture, modeling, and system architecture, including integration best practices.
- Oversee the analysis, support, and management of current integrated systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Lead incident response efforts, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem resolution for integration-related issues.
- Develop and execute plans for upgrades, updates, and continuous improvements to system integrations.
- Partner with engineers and architects across infrastructure, security, applications, and business teams to ensure proposed solutions align with enterprise architecture and security standards.
- Manage end-to-end IT integration projects, including scope definition, resource planning, timeline management, and stakeholder communication.
- Develop and implement monitoring solutions for integration platforms to ensure high availability and proactive issue detection.
- Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual tasks, improve system performance, enhance stability, and increase availability.
- Ensure that security standards, practices, and policies are incorporated into all integration solutions.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and design diagrams to communicate the health, performance, and architecture of integrated systems.

Requirements
Experience:
- 5-7 years of experience designing, deploying, and managing enterprise-level IT systems.
- 8-10 years of experience in system and network engineering.
- 1+ years of experience in a leadership or management capacity within IT integration or related fields.
Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent fields in IT or equivalent experience
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Expertise in systems architecture, integration architecture, and data architecture standards, frameworks, and practices.
- Proficiency in IT architecture frameworks, methodologies, and tools.
- Broad expertise across IT domains, including cloud computing, storage management, security, networking, infrastructure, applications, and integration.
- Strong knowledge of identity management and database technologies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional documentation skills and ability to conduct knowledge transfer to internal staff.
- Expertise in solution design, development, and application support.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
- Experience with change management and configuration policies. Other:
- Occasional global travel required supporting corporate offices.
- Occasional weekend maintenance
Organizational Relationships Direct Reports: This position is directly responsible for the delegation of tasks and daily work production through a Team Lead role.
Pay range for this position is $111,000-$154,000 depending on experience
