About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Technical Project Manager to lead and manage technology-driven projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, project management experience, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of IT initiatives.
The role can be based in Ioannina or Athens.
What you'll be doing
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, risk management, and budget control.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, QA, and business analysts, to ensure project success.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues that could impact project delivery.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, providing regular updates and reports on project progress.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in IT project management methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
- Drive process improvements and recommend tools and methodologies to optimize project execution.
- Oversee vendor and third-party engagements related to project deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with IT security and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT project management, preferably within a technical environment.
- Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC), IT infrastructure, and enterprise applications.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA, Trello, Microsoft Project, or equivalent.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and leading Agile teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or ITIL are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing cloud-based projects (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, Agile development environment.
