Delta Solutions and Strategies is seeking a JO Executive Strategic Comms (Speechwriter) for US Space Command (USSPACECOM) at Peterson SFB, CO. We are looking for a hiring a highly skilled and motivated candidates to join the Commander’s Action Group as a speechwriter for US Space Command (USSPACECOM) supporting executive strategic messaging through speeches, remarks, briefing materials, correspondence, and talking points. The Commander’s Action Group (CAG) is a forward-looking, strategically oriented organization. The CAG is the Commander’s office of primary responsibility for the Commander, Deputy Commander, and Command Senior Enlisted Leader (Top-3) engagement strategic planning, executive communications efforts, and event management. As such, the CAG is often required to connect across Directorates, Special Staff, and Components at all levels in order to facilitate flow of information, coordination, and synchronization and enable implementation the Commander’s vision, strategy, objectives, and priorities.
What you will be doing:
A perfect candidate will have Combatant Command experience and an Executive Strategic Communications Development background. Provide support to the Strategic Communication team in the drafting and revision of the Commander’s Strategic intent and narrative as directed be the CCDR. Provide support to the Strategic Communications Team in the creation and updating of the Command Mission Brief. Create presentations as directed by the CAG Director or Deputy Director and in support command leadership.Develop strategic messages and speeches through research, writing, and other editorial activities as required by the CAG leadership and in support of the Top 3. Create event books, briefings, and background papers on topics as directed by the CAG leadership.
What you will need:
Previous speechwriter experience on a CCMD, MAJCOM, HHQ, Joint Staff, OSD etc. staff.Excellent written and oral communication skills, especially when preparing and communicating technical information to audiences with varying backgrounds.Expertise using the Microsoft Office Suite of tools (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint).Ability to multi-task and turn staff products rapidly in a highly dynamic environment.Ability to work with both internal and external senior leaders, offices, directorates, and action officers.Bachelor’s Degree/equivalent and 10+ years of experience Understanding of military space operations (Space Domain Awareness (SDA); Command & Control (C2); Satellite Communications (SATCOM); Position, Navigation & Timing (PNT); Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR); Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR); Missile Warning (MW); Offensive Space Control (OSC) and Defensive Space Control (DSC); and Missile Defense (MD); etcActive TS//SCI clearance is required to be considered for this position. Preferred Experience:Master’s Degree (STEM, DOD/IC Related, or Engineering)IDE/SDE or Joint equivalent Clearance: TS/SCI, eligibility for SAP information, willingness to submit to a Counter-Intelligence polygraph

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $120,000-$140,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
